| About Amy A little insider information about Amy… by Ed Johnson So who is Amy, and why am I writing this page about her? It’s because I have the exclusive privilege of being married to her (and working with her on her team); therefore I know Amy better than anyone. Plus, she would never write a page like this about herself ☺. That also makes this a bit biased, but rest assured it’s the truth. Amy comes from a Human Resources background, where she enjoyed helping to place people into temporary positions as well as high level careers and everywhere in between. In addition to working as a Recruiter for a well known employment agency, she spent many years in the hospitality industry, most recently as the Employment Center Recruiting Supervisor at Barona Valley Ranch Resort & Casino in Lakeside. While it was very fulfilling for her to see how happy the people she hired were with their new jobs, how much better it would be to help people on a bigger level. In 2005 she decided that helping people buy and sell their homes was the right path for her to take. For most people, this is the biggest transaction they will ever make in their lives, and what a stressful process it can be for just about anyone! So after passing the California Real Estate exam on the first try and earning her Real Estate license, she began a new career as a Realtor®. Working in Real Estate definitely agrees with her, because she has been successful in helping people ever since she started, and continually enjoys getting new referrals from happy clients. So why is she so good at what she does? It’s because she truly enjoys helping people! So no matter how difficult a Real Estate transaction can be (trust me, they are all challenging in one way or another), she stays with it until everything is done properly. She is also successful because “Your Friend in Real Estate” is not just a marketing slogan, it’s really Amy’s way of life. I can vouch for that, as she’s constantly on the phone or visiting with people 7 days a week, from early morning until late at night. All the stress and hard work of completing a transaction is totally worth it when she delivers the keys to her clients new home, and shares in their excitement. Does the relationship end there? Absolutely not, it’s actually just beginning! Amy loves to keep in touch with everyone to see how they are doing in their lives. She really does consider all of her clients friends, which is another part of her success. What are Amy’s interests when she’s not working? Well, with Amy there’s not really such a thing as “not working”, as any day off or dinner out is a “working time off”, meaning that she still answers the phone and deals with anything and everything. Anyway, Amy’s other interests when she’s “not working” are a love of Animals and everything Disney. She has two “kids”, Cookie and Cinnamon, who have been a big part of her life since they were puppies many years ago. Amy is also very involved in the community. She has been a member and volunteered for the Lakeside Chamber of Commerce since 2006, and was elected as a Chamber Board Director in 2007. Additionally she is an active partner in MyShoppingTown.com, our Youth Fundraising Website. Amy has lived in San Diego County since 1985, and has been a resident of Lakeside since 1999. So when you need a Real Estate Professional, why should you work with Amy, when there are so many other Realtors out there? You should choose to work with Amy because in addition to being very trustworthy and dedicated to helping you and looking out for your best interest, she really will consider you a friend, and not forget about you when the transaction is complete. As a bonus, I’m on her team and available to her 24/7 to help out as needed! I’m not a Real Estate Agent because I prefer to stay in the background and work in a support role, which works out to everyone’s benefit because it allows her to spend more time with you (her client and friend) and your real estate transaction. Now that you know a little about Amy, give her a call so she can help you too! Whether you’re buying or selling a home, Amy will be happy to work with you, and be honored to call you a friend.
